Janitor

Controlled Holdings is an industry leading HVAC wholesale and controls distributor with an 11-time award winning culture as one of Indiana’s Best Places to Work. We are seeking a full-time Janitor to help us shine! In this role, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and sanitation of both interior and exterior spaces. If you thrive on creating a clean and welcoming environment, then this is the job for you!

Details, Details:

  • Clean workspaces, common areas, offices, hallways, and bathrooms
  • Sweep, mop, and buff floors as needed
  • Vacuum & deep clean carpeted areas and furniture
  • Dust and polish various surfaces
  • Restock bathrooms, break rooms, and meeting spaces with supplies
  • Empty trash bins throughout the facility
  • Perform outdoor duties such as:
    • Spraying building perimeter for bugs
    • Weed control
    • Cleaning windows
    • General exterior upkeep
    • Sweeping pavement
    • Trash & debris removal
    • Snow removal and salting as needed
  • Maintain and manage cleaning schedules
  • Complete tasks for the Executive Team as needed
  • Complete all tasks in a safe and professional manner
  • Assist with additional tasks or special projects as requested

What we are looking for:

  • Prior cleaning experience (highly preferred)
  • A high standard for cleanliness
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  • Previous janitorial or facility cleaning experience highly preferred
  • Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling, and grasping
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to climb ladders and step stools
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers
  • Ability to work at varied indoor and outdoor temperatures
  • Sufficient vision and hearing to safely perform job duties
