Purchasing Manager

Details, Details:

  • Perform timely updates to the vendor/supplier database
  • Monitor Purchase Orders for real time data
  • Identify and resolve cost and quantity discrepancies
  • Oversee ordering of office supplies, raw materials, and other needed items
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors;
  • Measure the vendor and supplier cost, quality and delivery performance
  • Solve cost, quality and delivery concerns
  • Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply
  • Introduce performance improvement measures for suppliers and vendors
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to discuss inventory requirements
  • Facilitate timely placement of item ordering
  • Review purchase orders for proper authorization and compliance with organizational policy and procedures
  • Monitor and reduce purchase variances
  • Produce regular reports on purchase commitments, costs and delivery performance
  • Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes in line with changing organizational needs and market conditions
  • Supervise the company returns process to ensure timeliness and accuracy

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Outlook, Word and Excel

  • Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, and pulling
  • Frequently handling/grasping documents or office equipment
  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods of time
  • Clear speaking and adequate hearing sufficient to communicate effectively
  • Vision sufficient to read source materials and computer screen data
  • Repetitive motion for computer equipment use
  • Requires exertion of force of 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously to lift/carry/move objects, files, and documents
